Ireland(127 in 19.5 Overs) lost to Namibia (138/4 in 20 Overs) by 11 runs on 11 October,2022.
If the recent Warm Up games are any indication, then the MCG is expected to play a touch slower than usual. Apart from pace and bounce, the slower bowlers have also turned out to be a bit handy so far. Thus, it will be interesting to see if the pitch behaves like a typical Aussie wicket offering some genuine pace and bounce or offers some assistance to the spinners as well. The par score is expected to be around 150-160.

Zimbabwe are one of the few teams in the Qualifiers who would be aiming for a spot in Group Stage. The current lot of Zimbabwe players have not really done justice to their potential. The loss against Sri Lanka would come as a wake up call for the players. They should look to put the disappointments of the past behind and start afresh right before the Qualifiers.
