Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni is going through a lean patch and is getting criticised for his mediocre performances in the recent times. However former Indian pacer Ashish Nehra has backed the Indian wicket-keeper and has claimed that no one comes close to him.

Dhoni’s aura a great help to team: Nehra

The former left-arm pacer underlined Dhoni’s significance while speaking with an online cricket portal. He said that there is Rishabh Pant, there is Dinesh Karthik, who has done reasonably well, but MS Dhoni is MS Dhoni.

The Indian pacer believes that nobody comes close to him, not only as a cricketer but the kind of aura he has it is a great help to Yuzvendra Chahal, to Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah and most importantly to Virat Kohli.

Nehra confident Dhoni will do well in Australia

The left-arm pacer explained that the wicket-keeper batsman knows what he is doing and although he wasn’t that good in Asia Cup and Windies series what he would have liked to have but still he has two months.

After the T20I series against Windies, India will be touring Australia. Nehra is sure that the Indian wicket-keeper will do well in Australia, so we shouldn’t worry about MS him.

Dhoni’s struggles in 2018

The Indian wicket-keeper is still highly efficient behind the stumps but his batting has come under the scanner. In the recent times, he has failed to bat through the innings and didn’t finish the chase on a couple of occasions.
