OUT or NOT? Watch Suryakumar Yadav's controversial catch

Suryakumar Yadav catch : It is often said that the new faces coming into the Indian side especially in the batting department bring in the fearless attitude and something similar was witnessed during Suryakumar Yadav’s first innings in international cricket in the India vs England 4^th T20I at the Narendra Modi Stadium. After not getting a chance with the bat in his debut T20I match, Suryakumar was drafted into the Indian playing XI in place of an injured Ishan Kishan for the fourth T20I match against England. Team India are currently trailing 1-2 in the five-match T20I series and need to win this game to keep the series alive.

While playing in his first international innings, Suryakumar launched Jofra Archer for an incredible six to kickstart his T20I career. Yadav never looked like playing his first international game as he absolutely wrecked havoc during his outstanding innings of 57 runs off just 31 balls that included 6 fours and 3 sixes. However, the right-handed Mumbai batsman was forced to walk back to the pavilion in the result of a controversial call made by the third umpire following a catch claimed by Dawid Malan.

In the previous delivery to his dismissal, Suryakumar smashed Sam Curran for an extraordinary six through a paddle sweep. And on the next ball, he once again went in with the same shot but due to a change in the field, Malan claimed a controversial catch near the boundary line. The on-field umpire reckoned that it was a clean catch and thus, his soft signal went in England’s favour. However, during the replays, the third umpire could not obtain any conclusive evidence to overturn the decision.
