Rajasthan Royals are having a mixed Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 campaign. The Sanju Samson-led side has displayed some sensational performances but unfortunately, results have not gone in their way. Not turning away from the fact that players with big reputations have not fired for them. As a result of which they have lacked consistency in the tournament, especially in the second leg. With three teams already qualifying for the playoffs, the fourth spot is still in contention. And there’s no brainer that the winners of the inaugural edition are also in the contention for playoffs.
Rajasthan Royals batsman: The Sanju Samson-led side have some high-quality batters in their team. The left-handed duo of Ewin Lewis and Yashasvi Jaiswal will be strongest among the players to start as the openers followed by skipper Sanju Samson at 3. The ‘Men in Blue and Pink’ also have some hard hitters in David Miller, Liam Livingstone, Shivam Dube, Mahipal Lomror and Glenn Phillips. The all-rounders Rahul Tewatia, Chris Morris can fire with the bat too down the order. Apart from the frontline players, their lineup is filled with some explosive Indian talent in Manan Vohra, Riyan Parag and Anuj Rawat.
Rajasthan Royals bowlers: Rajasthan Royals bowlers 2021 have been amongst the best bowling line-ups in the tournament. The steam pace trio of Chris Morris, Chetan Sakariya, Mustafizur Rahman is the best Rajasthan Royal bowlers. Apart from the fiery trio, the winners of the inaugural edition of the league have the likes of Kartik Tyagi, Jaydev Unadkat, Oshane Thomas and Akash Singh in the pace bowling department while Mayank Markande, KC Cariappa Shreyas Gopal and Tabraiz Shamsi are in the spin bowling department.
Rajasthan Royals have a power-packed middle order. However, the fans would want them to score runs a little more consistently. The middle-order starts with skipper Sanju Samson batting at No.3. The other batsmen in the middle order have failed to score runs at regular intervals which in turn have resulted in changes after few matches. With Liam Livingstone not firing, David Miller will be the strongest batsman to bat in the middle order. He along with the likes of Shivam Dube, Glen Phillips and all-rounder Rahul Tewatia can be brutal for the opposition.

The winners of the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League in this year’s marquee tournament are captained by Sanju Samson. The right-handed batsman has shown great leadership skills and has been spot on with his bowling changes. He would’ve wanted a bit of consistency from his players but they still can turn the things around in their remaining fixtures. Sanju Samson needs to lead his team from the front if they have to fancy their chances. The wicketkeeper-batsman so far has scored 480 runs and is fourth on the list of orange cap holders.
Rajasthan Royals are very much in contention for the playoffs. The Sanju Samson-led side can seal the fourth spot in the points table if they manage victories against Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders as both the teams are also in contention for the playoffs and their loss means the Men in Pink and Blue irrespective of the Net Run Rate will play the eliminator in Sharjah. As of now, they are sixth on the points table with 10 points to their name.
The Sanju Samson-led franchise will next cross swords against defending champions Mumbai Indians today (5th October) at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. After that Rajasthan Royals will take on Kolkata Knight Riders at the same value on 7th October. They will have to give their everything in their remaining two league matches if they have to see themselves in the playoffs. With some power-packed players on the side, they have a great chance to turn the tables around and qualify for the business end of the tournament.
