The IPL 2021 Phase 2 is soon gonna start from 19 September and excitement is at its peak regarding the starting of the tournament. After the 5th test was cancelled at Manchester, all the players will undergo a 6-day isolation to avoid the chances of spread of the covid cases in the team camp. Almost all the players of the Indian team barring Hanuma Vihari have reached their respective camps in the United Arab Emirates. But, here is the update regarding the availability of English players.

England players to miss the Playoffs?

Few days back, the English players like Dawid Malan, Jonny Bairstow, and Chris Woakes ruled themselves out of the IPL 2021 Phase 2. Now, there has been some news regarding the unavailability of almost all the players that will take part in the playoffs of the tournament.

The England team are scheduled to play 2 T20Is against Pakistan at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on October 13 and October 14. The IPL playoffs will be played from October 10 to October 15. Along with that the T20 World Cup is also scheduled to start from 17 October. The England team will play their first league match against West Indies on October 23.

Players likely to miss IPL Playoffs

The Kolkata Knight Riders captain Eoin Morgan is likely to lead the England team against the Pakistan team to get a better idea of the team combinations and play as a team ahead of the big ICC event. The all-rounders from CSK, Sam Curran and Moeen Ali will be critical to the team’s success and ECB are not likely to give them NOC to play IPL.

From the Rajasthan Royals camp, Liam Livingstone has been the best T20 batter for the past 1 year and will surely keep national team’s interests ahead of the IPL. The other players like Chris Jordan and Adil Rashid from Punjab Kings, and Jason Roy, Sam Billings from Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals respectively. Only two players, Tom Curran and George Garton are expected to stay with their IPL teams until the finals.
