IPL 2021: When will India Players leave UK for IPL Phase 2? Check Complete Quarantine Details

It was quite a disappointing end to the test series between India and England, which was cancelled due to the covid cases in the Indian camp. It has also been said that the Indian players wrote a letter to BCCI stating that they will not play the 5th Test match. This has lot do with the one of the players testing positive during the test match and the Indian Premier League scheduled to start from 19 September.

When will India players leave UK for IPL 2021 Phase 2?

With IPL 2021 Phase 2 start looming around, and the 5th Test being cancelled, the BCCI with respective franchises have started to arrange chartered flights for their players. It has been reported that the players will leave UK on Saturday for the IPL 2021 Phase 2.

“The players will be flying out to UAE today itself. BCCI has corrdinated with the franchises and arranged charter flights. Few of the franchises had already made some arrangements with commercial flights on Friday itself,” BCCI official said to TOI on Saturday.

The franchises like Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Punjab Kings were reported to have arranged the flights for the players yesterday.

Quarantine required for Players arriving from UK

Since the assistant physio of the Indian team was tested positive, the Indian players were in isolation. They want to reach the United Arab Emirates as soon as possible to complete their 6-days quarantine requirement in the United Arab Emirates. Along with the players, their family members along with the kids are also present. If one of the parents gets positive, it will be a arduous circumstances for the player’s family.

Technically, there had been no bubble during the series. The players will have to serve a six-day quarantine upon reaching UAE. So, the earlier they leave Manchester the less time they will have to spend in isolation.
