Most Runs in IPL: As witnessed over the years, the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been one of the biggest stages of all where the Indian batsmen have shown their talent and also grown in stature. In the ongoing edition of the IPL 2022, there have been some incredible and staggering performances already by some world-class batters from all over the world to entertain the crowd. The Punjab Kings (PBKS) are currently playing against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Most Runs in IPL: Shikhar Dhawan Reaches 6000 IPL Runs

While playing for the Punjab Kings this year, senior opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan has now become the only second batsman to score 6000 runs in the Indian Premier League history. Former Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli is the other batsman and the leading run-getter in the history of the IPL with a magnificent tally of 6402 runs from a total of 215 games. However, Shikhar is the fastest batsman to reach the milestone in as many as 200 IPL matches.

Shikhar Dhawan is the second highest run-scorer in the history of the Indian Premier League so far. Rohit Sharma (5764), David Warner (5668) and Suresh Raina (5528)  are the other three names on the list of leading run-getters in the IPL.
