Who won today’s IPL match?: In what was a clash of Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) crossed swords with Rajasthan Royals in the match 39th of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at  MCA Stadium in Pune. It Was a game that saw the Sanju Samson-led side make a great comeback after being bogged down in the first innings. They displayed an exhibition of high-class bowling and bundled out RCB for 115 runs and win the match by 29 runs.

Put into bat first, Rajasthan Royals had a poor start as they lost three wickets in Devdutt Padikkal (7), Jos Buttler (8), and R Ashwin (17) inside the power play. They couldn’t get going after that and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. However, Riyan Parag stood tall for them in the end and scored his second half century of the IPL to take his side to the fighting total of 144 runs.

Chasing the target, it was similar start as that in the first innings. RCB lost their their senior players in Virat Kohli (9), Faf du Plessis (23), Glenn Maxwell (0) and Rajat Patidar (16) early and found themselves tottering at 58/4 at the end of 10 overs. They never looked settled after that and kept losing wickets at constant rate. RR bowlers then closed the game for their side and won the match by 29 runs. Notably, this was the lowest total defended this season.

Rajasthan Royals batter Riyan Parag was awarded Man of the Match in today’s encounter against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Pune. Coming into the match, the right-handed faced a lot of skewering for his poor performance and his place in the side was even questioned. However, just when his side needed, he delivered and replied to all the critics in style. After RR lost early wickets, he stepped in and scored a sensational half-century to take his team to the fighting total and subsequently win the match. His knock was laced with 3 fours and 4 sixes.
