While playing for the Rajasthan Royals (RR) this year, senior off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has completed a total of 152 IPL wickets. Ashwin went past former legendary spinner Harbhajan Singh’s tally of 150 wickets to become the fifth highest wicket-taker in the history of the Indian Premier League. He reached the landmark when he dismissed Suyash Prabhudessai in the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

Dwayne Bravo is still the leading wicket-taker in the IPL history with an outstanding total of 181 wickets from 159 matches. Ashwin’s Rajasthan Royals teammate Yuzvendra Chahal also has an impressive tally of 157 scalp in just 122 games.

The Rajasthan Royals ended up posting a fighting total of 144 for 8 in their quota of 20 overs courtesy a superb unbeaten innings of 56 runs off just 31 balls from Riyan Parag. RR skipper Sanju Samson also scored 27 runs off 21 balls. For the Royal Challengers Bangalore, Mohammed Siraj, Josh Hazlewood and Wanindu Hasaranga picked up three wickets each.
