  • Chelsea will be without midfielder N’Golo Kante after the French international suffered an injury to the abductor against Manchester United last week.
  • Christian Pulisic and Callum Hudson-Odoi are absent with injuries.
  • Frank Lampard is hoping to have his lading scorer Tammy Abraham back in the squad for this game, while Andreas Christensen and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are also expected to be available as well.

How Chelsea may line-up?

  • Lampard reiterated last week that keeping Kepa Arrizabalaga out of the playing 11 is because he wants competitions for places. Chelsea‘s record signing may have to contend with a place on the bench once again with Willi Caballero getting the nod again.
  • With Kante out, Matteo Kovacic should partner Jorginho in the midfield, with Mason Mount and Willian providing the width.
  • Tammy Abraham should be fit, but if that’s not the case either Olivier Giroud or Mitchi Batshuayi will start the game.
  • If Christensen is not fit, Kurt Zouma will be lining up alongside Antonio Rudiger at the heart of the backline.

  • Mason Mount: His form may not be as good as it was at the start of the season when the was terrorizing the defence, but he is definitely a very important piece of Frank Lampard’s squad.
  • Willian: He had a disappointing outing against United last week, but he is definitely Chelsea’s best player on current form.

Tottenham Hotspur team news:

  • Harry Kane is out with a long-term injury, as is midfielder Moussa Sissoko. The duo is expected to miss the rest of the season with a hamstring and knee injury respectively.
  • As they say, it never rains but it pours, Tottenham’s injury woes became even nastier when Son Heung-Min suffered a shoulder injury during the 3-2 win over Aston Villa last week.
  • Juan Foyth will be a game-time call.

How Tottenham Hotspur may line-up?

  • Dele Alli was taken off rather early than expected and he let his frustrations known by throwing away his shoes on the floor, and Mourinho could pout the boot into Alli by dropping him from the starting 11 here.
  • The rest of the playing 11 should be same as it was in the Champions League game against RB Leipzig in the midweek.
