And this is Brutal:

The left-handed bowler has retired from international cricket in 2015 after representing his national side in 73 Tests, 153 ODIs and 30 T20I.

However, he kept playing T20 leagues including the Big Bash League (BBL) and IPL.

Kolkata Knight Riders grabbed Mitchell Johnson who has played for Kings XI Punjab and the Mumbai Indians earlier, for INR 20 crore in the auction.

Is it a blessing in disguise for KKR or betrayal of fate?

With uncertainty over star players like Andre Rusell and Chris Lynn, this news further deepens the troubles for KKR. Before returning to the tournament, Johnson needs to heal the injury and this would prompt the franchise to look for alternatives.

KKR will kick-off its IPL campaign on April 8 where they clash with Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Eden Gardens.

However, the injured players pave way for the entry of new players in the tournament who might turn the tables in favour of the franchise.
