Jaipur – Rajasthan Royals produced an all-round show in the second match of Sunday doubleheader to beat Mumbai Indians at their fortress in Jaipur in a thrilling finish. Gowtham stole the show with 33 runs off 11 balls to take his side home.

Chasing 168, RR lost both the openers at the score of 38. Samson and Stokes rebuilt the innings putting 62 runs for the third wicket and steadied the chase. Samson slammed another fifty – 52 runs off 39 balls, while Stokes chipped in with 40 runs.

The momentum did shift for a brief period in the 17th over when Bumrah got rid of Samson and Buttler in two balls. MI bowlers could not bowl tightly in the final overs, and the match slipped out of their grasp.

Earlier, RR put MI in first and made an ideal start picking Evin Lewis early in the innings. The 129-run second wicket partnership between Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan helped Mumbai Indians to recover, but middle-overs collapse kept them to 167. Jofra Archer had a dream debut, picking 3 wickets for 22 runs.
