MIN vs LAL Dream11

MIN vs LAL Dream11: The NBA season is on with full fanfare and this is going to be another riveting affair. However, we are still early into the season and there is a LOT of time remaining as we are just into the initial parts of the season. Scoring has been plentiful but I expect the defense to settle down soon enough to make the scoring go lower. In this game, the high-scoring Minnesota Timberwolves will take on the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Timberwolves come into this game as they defeated the San Antonio Spurs 134:122 as Anthony Edwards inserted 34 points. They have won three out of the five games. On the other hand, the Los Angeles Lakers had another lackluster outing as they lost 99:110 to the Denver Nuggets in another disappointing outing. Can the Lakers curb their four-game losing streak?

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

Wolves keep on clicking

The Timberwolves play a classic brand of basketball. Shootouts that bring exciting end-to-end action. Since they have added athletic Anthony Edwards, their pace has elevated further and the team is the sixth-best in that regard. Acquiring Rudy Gobert has improved their rebounding and he is a great support as the help defender. The team has shown immense potential as one of the best offenses but there is a long way to go because the defense can be tired due to the high-paced offense.

The special duo of Edwards and Anthony-Towns can blow up for 40+ points a game and Edwards has been the scoring leader again. D’Angelo Russell has once again been scoring mostly in the 15-20 points range which is good enough whereas Gobert’s inside production is an added bonus. Jaden McDaniels has done such a brilliant job whereas Jaylen Nowell has been a X-Factor off the bench, having a career year thus far. How much will the team improved on the defensive end? That will determine their ceiling.

Lakers continue to let everyone down
As I said before, it feels like the continuation of the 2021-2022 season, but what is worse here is that the offense of the team looks even worse! The team’s offensive rating of around 97 is by far the worst in the league. The Lakers are shooting just 22% from the three-point line, which is by far the worst while the shooting percentage is below 42, it is just ugly all-around. To top it off, the team is fifth worst in terms of free-throw attempts. Their defense has been decent but they have allowed 53 rebounds a game, which is the worst in the league. There are a lot of “worst” when it comes to the Lakers.

LeBron is doing the same old stacking up of stats but it means nothing to him if there are no wins. Anthony Davis elevates the defense and puts up big numbers, but hey, no wins! Lonnie Walker has shown promise but Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverley are shooting below 30%, no way that gets it done at this level. Westbrook has been blamed for many of the Lakers’ woes, and yes, he has been mediocre thus far but the Lakers’ issues run much deeper. They have no chemistry, no rhythm, they look so pathetic right now, it is just how they have played!

NBA Scores, Fantasy Basketball Top Picks

LeBron James(LAL)
Points: 19
Rebounds: 07
Assists: 09
Steals: 01
LeBron keeps on putting big numbers but they look hollow without the wins and his long-range shot hasn’t been ringing as much. I expect him to be in 24-33 points, 9-14 rebounds, and 8-11 assists range. LeBron can be chosen as the Star-Player in the Dream11 NBA scene. He is PROBABLE for the game.

Anthony Edwards(MIN)
Points: 34
Rebounds: 03
Assists: 09
Steals: 02
Edwards has become an impressive long-range shooter which only makes him scarier as he is an absolute menace while driving to the rim. I believe he will be in 27-34 points, 5-8 rebounds, 4-6 assists, and 1-3 steals range.

Anthony Davis(LAL)
Points: 22
Rebounds: 14
Assists: 05
Steals: 03
Blocks: 02

The above numbers are the part-and-parcel of what the ‘Unibrow” produces but he hasn’t been able to convert them to wins. I believe he will be in 20+ points, 9-14 rebounds, and 1-3 blocks/steals range.

Karl Anthony-Towns(MIN)
Points: 21
Rebounds: 04
Assists: 07
Steals: 02
Blocks: 01
To win more, Karl has been willing to take a backseat to the Edwards. He continues to be a creative scorer but will need to do more on the defensive end. I believe he will be in 18-24 points, 7-11 rebounds, 4-7 assists, and 1-3 steals range..

D’Angelo Russell(MIN)
Points: 12
Rebounds: 02
Assists: 09
Blocks: 01
Guard Russell can both stop on the dime and shoot and play off-the-ball, but his playmaking makes him such an impactful player. I believe he will be in 16-22 points and 6-9 assists range here.

Lonnie Walker IV (LAL)
Points: 15
Rebounds: 02
Assists: 01
Steals: 02
Walker has given strong inside scoring but he continues to struggle as a long-range shooter like the rest of the team. I believe he will be in 12-18 points range here.

MIN vs LAL Dream11 Lineup Balancers

    • Rudy Gobert(MIN): Rudy had 10 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, 1 steal in the last game. Gobert has bolstered the defense and rebounding end for the Wolves. I believe he will be in 11-16 points, 9-14 rebounds, and 1-3 blocks range.
    • Patrick Beverley(LAL): Patrick had 6 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds, 1 steal in the last game. While Beverley has given solid defense, his offense has looked awful thus far. I expect a 6-9 points, 3-5 assists, and 3-5 rebounds range.
    • Troy Brown Jr(LAL): Patrick had 6 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal in the last game. Troy has been a strong hustle player off-the-bench and has been a positive influence, thus earning a ton of minutes. I expect a 5-8 points, 4-6 rebounds, and 1-2 steals range.
    • Jaden McDaniels(MIN): Kentavious had 20 points, 3 assists, 1 rebound, 3 blocks, 2 steals in the last game. What a start to the season this has been for Jaden who is effective both as a lane-filler and as a stretch-four. I believe he will be in 14-19 points, 4-7 rebounds, and 1-3 blocks/steals range.
    • Jaylen Nowell(MIN): Nowell had 23 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists in the last game. Nowell has been scintillating off-the-bench and has become one of the best reserves. I believe he will be in 14-19 points range.
    • Austin Reaves(LAL): Austin had 8 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist in the last game. Guard Reaves played 26 minutes in absence of Westbrook, he is a solid guard. I believe he will be in 5-9 points range here.
    • Jordan McLaughlin(MIN): Jordan had 6 points, 5 assists, 1 rebound, 1 steal in the last game. Jordan has earned his minutes due to his amazing passing skills. I believe he will be in 3-6 points and 3-6 assists range.
    • Kendrick Nunn(LAL): Nunn had 9 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist in the last game. Nunn’s Lakers career is off to a rocky start. Can he get back in the rotation?
    • Taurean Prince(MIN): Prince had 6 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists in the last game. Taurean has carved out decent minutes as a two-way wing. I expect him to be in 4-9 points and 2-4 rebounds range here.
