Los Angeles Clippers vs Sacramento Kings LAC vs SAC Dream11L

SAC vs LAC Dream11: The NBA Regular Season has begun with full fanfare and we are already witnessing some classic performances. However, the early season is going to slowly delve into a territory where the injury lists will multiply so it is best to see near full-strength squads at this point of the season. The Los Angeles Clippers will wish to have a healthy squad this season and here they will take on the Sacramento Kings.

The Clippers last played against the Lakers and emerged victorious 103:97 in what was a brilliant defensive effort from the team. Has the Clips set a grand stage for the season ahead?

On the other hand, it was more of the same for the Sacramento Kings, as they lost to the Trail Blazers 108:115 despite 33 points performance by De’Aaron Fox. Will they finally have a winning record season?

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

Kings: Defense, they need defense
While the Kings’ start to the season wasn’t that encouraging, having lost to the Blazers by 8 but there were promising signs. The game was tied with under a minute left and if not for a Jerami Grant’s three-point play, the Kings had a big shot at a win to begin the season. They shot a reputable 38.6% from the floor and had a respectable 27:15 assists:turnover ratio. They were outmatched on the free-throw line, as the Blazers had a 26:13 advantage in that regard.

Fox had a terrific game and after being a sub-par three point shooter for his early career, he nailed five out of nine triples, but the trouble was that he committed eight turnovers! Kevin Hureter nailed six triples and had an outstanding Kings debut but Domantas Sabonis will need to do more than just 13. The Kings allowed 30+ points in three of the four quarters, something they repeatedly did during the last season. Can they fix their defensive woes?

Clippers: Defense, the calling card?
Strange as it may sound, Kawhi Leonard came off the bench, perhaps looking to first get acquainted to the NBA scene after being out for a long time. Unlike the Kings, the Clippers needn’t worry about their defense. They have two of the best in business with Leonard and George. The Clippers had a strange start to the season, they looked a bit rusty against the flailing Lakers and the game was tied for many parts. However, they held Lakers to just six points in the last six minutes while making shots when necessary.

Strange enough, no player for the Clippers could score more than 15 eight players scoring eight or more. Don’t think this will be the case again as Leonard and George can both explode for a big night at the same time. Ivica Zubac was on fire, grabbing big rebounds and also blocking 5 shots, so it means that both the perimeter and inside lanes were shut. They limited Lakers to 20% three-point shooting while allowing just 35% from the floor. However, they will want to be much more accurate themselves on the offensive end.

NBA Scores, Fantasy Basketball Top Picks

De’Aaron Fox(SAC)
Points: 33
Rebounds: 07
Assists: 07
Steals: 02
Though he had a spectacular scoring game, Fox underwhelmed in a way, committing eight turnovers and not allowing the Kings to stay afloat by the end. I believe he will be in 26-33 points and 6-9 assists range. He can be chosen as the Star-Player in the Dream11 NBA scene.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 50-65

Kawhi Leonard(LAC)
Points: 14
Rebounds: 07
Assists: 02
Steals: 01

Kawhi came off the bench in the last game and it will be a big season for the two-way stalwart as he steadily looks to come back in game shape. I believe he will be in 16-22 points and 5-8 rebounds range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 26-40

Domantas Sabonis(SAC)
Points: 13
Rebounds: 04
Assists: 05
Steals: 01
Blocks: 01

Sabonis was in foul trouble in the last game, otherwise, he is a much more effective scorer and rebounder for most parts. I believe he will be in 17-23 points, 8-11 rebounds, and 4-7 assists range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 35-50

Paul George(LAC)
Points: 15
Rebounds: 10
Assists: 04
Steals: 02

Paul shot just 4/12 in the last game which is much below what he does usually as one of the most prolific two-way stars in the league. I believe he will be in 20-26 points, 5-8 rebounds, and 4-7 assists range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 38-52

John Wall(LAC)
Points: 15
Rebounds: 04
Assists: 03
Steals: 01

Guard Wall is back in the main fray of the NBA after a long time and his return was impressive a she made seven of his 15 shots. I believe he will be in 16-22 points and 4-6 assists range here.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 25-38

Harrison Barnes(SAC)
Points: 09
Rebounds: 08
Assists: 04
Blocks: 01
Barnes is a veteran wing who has a lot of tools on the offensive end but his production may recede this season as a scorer. I believe he will be in 15-22 points and 4-7 rebounds range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 30-45

SAC vs LAC Dream11 Lineup Balancers

    • Ivica Zubac(LAC): Zubac had 14 points, 17 rebounds, 1 assist, 5 blocks in the last game. Ivica had a dream start to the season and his work on the boards and defense was especially impressive. I believe he will be in 9-15 points, 8-13 rebounds, and 1-3 blocks range.
      Expected Fantasy Points Range: 14-24
    • Kevin Huerter(SAC): Huerter had 23 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal in the last game. Kevin made six of his nine triples and if he even does 75% of what he did in the last game, he will be a big help. I expect him to be in 14-19 points range.
      Expected Fantasy Points Range: 20-31
    • Terance Davis(SAC): Patrick had 14 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, 1 block in the last game. Terance made four of his nine shots in the last game and he can hurt the opposition’s defenses. I believe he will be in 12-19 points and 4-6 rebounds range.
      Expected Fantasy Points Range: 18-28
    • Norman Powell(LAC): Norman had 9 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal in the last game. Norman has been unable to get going as a Clippers player but has a lot of offensive tools. I expect a 12-17 points range here.
      Expected Fantasy Points Range: 16-23
    • Marcus Morris(LAC): Morris had 14 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal in the last game. Morris had a brilliant 5/9 shooting night and remains relevant in the Forward-heavy lineup. I believe he will be in 11-14 points range.
      Expected Fantasy Points Range: 12-20
    • Davion Mitchell(SAC): Lonnie had 2 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds in the last game. Mitchell had a terrible start to the season but that is fine, he is still in the learning curve as a sophomore. I expect a 8-14 points and 4-6 assists range.
      Expected Fantasy Points Range: 18-29
    • Robert Covington(LAC): Covington had 2 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks in the last game. Robert is a terrific defense and he certainly can be trusted in late-game situations on that end. I believe he will be in 2-6 points, 4-7 rebounds, and 1-3 blocks/steals range.
    • Malik Monk(SAC): Lonnie had 6 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds, 1 block in the last game. Monk had a rather underwhelming start to his Kings’ career but the dynamic guard knows how to pull it back. I expect him to be in 10-14 points range.
      Expected Fantasy Points Range: 18-29
    • Luke Kennard(LAC): Luke had 11 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist in the last game. Luke was the most successful three-point scorer in the last game for the Clippers and the lefty can heat up. I believe he will be in 8-13 points range here.
