Charlotte Hornets, meanwhile, are in the midst of a season-defining phase as they chase a playoff berth in the Eastern Conference. As things stand, they are 10th on the table with a 35-39 record.

With just 8 games remaining in the regular season, Hornets must continue to win games to have any chance of making the postseason. The eighth places Orlando Magic are one and a half games away from them. It’s certainly bridgeable but a few more negative results may put the target beyond the grasp.
