CHA vs MIL Dream11: COVID-19 has been a constant presence in our lives and well, what option is there to just fight through it and make adjustments. And that has what the NBA has done; make adjustments. The way they conduct their business has changed and there has been flexibility in terms of signing the players and the quarantine window for COVID-19 cases has been shortened due to which the season has kept on ticking. And for that reason, we can still have a discussion about the NBA games. And here we are delving into the contest between the Charlotte Hornets and the Milwaukee Bucks.
These two teams meet just a day ago and the Hornets were able to come through 114:106. It is clear that the Bucks are missing their guard rotation and despite Giannis’ 43, Middleton’s 27, and Portis’ 19, the Bucks offense looked ineffective for many parts of the game. Charlotte had no answer for the Bucks frontline as expected but their guards ran over the Bucks’ guards and that is where the Hornets made hay.
Bucks have lost three of the last four games and their defense has been a bit vulnerable at times. As defending champions, you’d expect their defense to do better but then the record is not abysmal by any measures and perhaps as the postseason inches closer, Milwaukee will turn it on.
Talking about defense, Hornets are among the worst defensive teams and both their perimeter and the inside defense leaves a lot to be desired. Charlotte is a shootout type of team usually but yes, they are dangerous because they can put up 40+ points in a quarter and overcome slow starts too.

Bucks vs Hornets: Part III
The two teams have met twice before and the first meeting went 127:125 in favour of Bucks and while the last meeting went 114:106 in favour of Hornets. Well, the Bucks struggled to score in the first half without their starting guards and their backups deep reserves Nwora shot just one out of 11 and Matthews had a 30% shooting night. Hood shot 0 out of 5 while Langston Galloway also shot 0 out of 5. That makes it a 4/31 night from the guards, an abysmal 12%.
In contrast, Hornets guard, Rozier scored 28 and shot 50%+, while Ball 40%+ and Oubre also somewhere around that, the three combining for 65 points, which is indeed an incredible output. Talking about combinations, Bucks’ three Forwards in Portis, Antetokounmpo, and Middleton combined 89 points and well, I said in the last section that the Hornets have no answer for them. Still, the Hornets evaporated a large advantage through the guards’ tandem and also Bridges scored 21 to keep the score ticking. Overall, the Hornets will have their hands full against this Forward troika again.
The Hornets’ defense can be vulnerable and on the other hand, I don’t see the guards shooting 12% again, I think Nwora will have a 10+ night on at least 33% shooting and well if the guards can just shoot around 35-40%, they can rely on the sturdy frontline to pull through. The Hornets didn’t have their best offensive game in the first half of the last game and trust me, they can go for bigger nights. The Bucks will have to be careful here! If Donte DiVincenzo returns, he can help the Bucks on both ends but his conditioning will be questionable again. Anyway, below is the percentage-wise match-up distribution in my humble opinion:
Frontline: Middleton+Antetokounmpo+Portis(Bucks) vs Bridges+Hayward+Plumlee(Hornets): Bucks: 80% Hornets 20%
Backcourt Ball+Rozier+Kelly Oubre(Hornets) vs Matthews+Nwora+Donte+Hood+Galloway(Bucks) Hornets: 83% Bucks 17%
Bench Hornets 77% Bucks 23%
Overall: Hornets: 50% Bucks 50%
Yes, despite the disparity in the guards and bench, and even after losing the last battle, I give Bucks an equal chance of winning because of Antetokounmpo.

Giannis Antetokounmpo (MIL) Points: 43 Rebounds: 12 Assists: 03 Blocks: 02 Steals: 01 Hornets had no answer for Giannis in the last game and well, that is a little surprise, the big-time Forward has destroyed even the most elite of defenses. Giannis earned 20 free throws in the last game, relentlessly driving to the rim and that is why the Hornets are in for another tough defensive outing against him. He can be selected as a Star/Pro Player in the Dream 11 NBA Fantasy scenario. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 57-77
LaMelo Ball(CHA) Points: 19 Rebounds: 09 Assists: 08 Steals: 01 LaMelo gives this Hornets squad an all-around production and helps the team push the tempo up, getting clear-outs on rebounds and then going up the floor at full speed. The above numbers are a reflection of what LaMelo can do on a nightly basis. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 49-59
Khris Middleton (MIL) Points: 27 Rebounds: 10 Assists: 09 Middleton also gave the Hornets defense a world of trouble and the all-around wing just fell one assist shy of a triple-double. Khris has been turning match-ups in his favour game in and game out and playing with Giannis opens up shooting lanes for him. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 30-49
Terry Rozier(CHA) Points: 28 Rebounds: 04 Assists: 04 Steals: 02 With major guards for Bucks out, who can also defend well at the perimeter, Terry will have a chance to shoot six out of ten from three again. The high-scoring guard has been scoring 20+ points more often since December. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 41-52 Bobby Portis(MIL) Points: 19 Rebounds: 13 Assists: 01 Steals: 02 Bobby took advantage of the Hornets’ crumbling defense inside against Antetokounmpo. The big is having a tremendous season and the numbers reflected above have been coming on a regular basis. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 30-41
Miles Bridges(CHA) Points: 21 Rebounds: 08 Assists: 03 Steals: 01 Bridges was scoring 25+ points regularly earlier in the season and well, he isn’t scoring at that rate as the mid-season has approached. Still, the high-yielding wing has been able to get in the 18-25 points range and poses a high level of threat offensively. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 30-41
