DEN vs LAL Dream11: As the NBA season has progressed, there are teams who have indicated that they need some sort of change to their base roster and things haven’t worked out, others have indicated that even when they are in the slump, it is just the rigors of the long season, and they will get back to their old winning ways. And then there are some teams who hover in the middle but have a lot of promise. Well, as the 40+ games for most teams have concluded, we can make some observations about how things have worked out for them. So, let us talk about two Western Conference teams in Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets.
Lakers have 21 wins and 21 losses and for a team that has largely featured Westbrook and LeBron, that is surely a slim return. The team keeps getting outhustled, plays little to no defense at times, and lacks ways to keep the opposition off the rebounds. While their offense has panned out as predicted, the defense has been highly underwhelming, definitely among the worst in the league.
On the other Nuggets have depended upon Nikola Jokic to get their engines revving. Denver has a lot of inconsistent players but has figured out a team balance that helps them stay competitive. The team has usually begun strongly but sometimes plays some shoddy possessions during second halves. Can the Nuggets sort out their second-half issues?
Host: Denver Nuggets
Visitors: LA Lakers
Match Timing: 14 January, @ 07:30 AM
Venue: Ball Arena
Denver: They need to play harder in the second half
With Nikola Jokic in the middle, the Nuggets enter with a match-up at the Center position more often than not. He is a versatile scorer, one of the best rebounders and playmakers in the league. The Nuggets can run the offense through Jokic and his ability to find open teammates helps the Denver outfit to eke out quality offensive possessions. Meanwhile, Aaron Gordon, despite his up-and-down offense has created shots for himself and has had some big nights. Monte Morris and Facundo Campazzo are two dependable point guards while Will Barton when he plays can give all-around production. The Denver Nuggets have found some terrific production from Jeff Green who has shown the ability to spark the team with his high-flying dunks and some inspiring play on the offensive end. Yes, the Nuggets are not among the deepest teams in the league but they have played some wonderful basketball this month. However, as stated earlier, they run out of steam in the second half and that is one issue that needs to be fixed urgently.
Lakers: Ah, well…
What is most frustrating about the Lakers season has been that first, they got one of the easiest schedules to begin the season and lost to sub-par teams and then when they had some tough games, they were barely in the picture. And secondly, when they get a winning streak going, they lose in such gruesome fashion that it looks as if the team has run out of gas just after the first quarter. As someone who follows different teams’ fanbases I read some Lakers fans complaining about the lack of defense before the season began and also how the team lacks young legs, and how true were those fans! The Lakers have looked like one of the worst defensive teams all season long, they can’t stitch together even two decent defensive possessions at times and well, this has to be the worst defensive team that LeBron James must have featured for. Half of the season still remains, and is there any hope for the Lakers’ defense at this point! LeBron is dropping 30+ continuously and Monk has been on fire but where is the defense?
Denver Nuggets | Los Angeles Lakers
Games: 40| 42
Wins: 21| 21
Defeats: 19| 21
The Nuggets will enter with an advantage at the Center while Lakers at the Forward. This can be a close game but still, I favor the Nuggets to win this.

Jokic leads the league in triple-doubles and lets us not forget, this big is the reigning MVP. And well, like a reigning MVP, he has usually scored in the 20-25 points, grabs 11-16 rebounds, and 6+ assists on a regular basis. The Center is the favorite for the Star-Player in the Dream11 NBA scene.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 52-66
Donovan Mitchell (LAL)
Donovan is the leading scorer for the Jazz and is an all-around threat in terms of offense. The off-guard has usually scored in the 25-28 points range and has compiled 4-6 rebounds/assists.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 50-62
Will has been a much-needed all-around presence for the depleted Nuggets. The guard has scored in 11-14 points and has compiled 4-6 assists or rebounds per game.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 28-36
Gordon was scoring below 10 till Porter Jr. was active for multiple months has designed 15-16 points per game season, also going for as much as 30 points and sometimes under 10, really, you never know what to expect from the big Forward.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 21-44
The prolific one-guard has been a major scorer for another season and there is a reason why he won the Sixth-Player-Of-the-Award last season. Clarkson has scored in the 16-22 points range usually this month.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 29-41
The veteran Forward has raised his game in January and is wreaking havoc with his dunks, showing he has still got hops. The Forward has scored 16 or more in four of the last five games.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 20-30
It is one thing or the other for the guard, first, he fixed his turnovers issue and now the shooting issue has come along, but yes, he can come around with his talent. The up-and-down one guard has scored 8-13 points, grabbed 6-12 rebounds, and dished 5-10 assists per game these days although his usual scoring range was 16-23 earlier in the season.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 36-48
DEN vs LAL Dream11 Lineup Balancers
Lineup will be updated later. Use the metrics above till then. I’d suggest Jokic as SP, LeBron as PP. Also Barton, Campazzo, Je Green(PF), Monk, Ariza, Bradley can fill out the lineup.
