HOU vs LAL Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:

Houston Rockets will be looking for their 2nd win on the trot when they host a resurgent Los Angeles Lakers team at Toyota Center, in Houston, Texas, on Friday morning (IST).

Houston Rockets:

Finally, Houston Rockets showed the power which made them look so irresistible last season, irrespective of the profile of the teams. Well, they were on the brink of usurping the mighty and the haughty Golden State Warriors from the Western Conference throne, taking a 3-2 lead in the series was no fluke and if they managed to avoid the wrath of Klay Thompson in the 6th game, which he usually spews in that particular game, Rockets could have been basking in the glory.

So when the 2018-19 season started, many punters threw their money on Houston to end Warriors’ supremacy. But it’s been anything but a challenge, looks more like a subjugation under the wild expectations.

Before the last match, Rockets were on a three-game losing streak, falling to Minnesota Timberwolves, Utah Jazz and Dallas Mavericks in that period. These are certainly not the teams you would expect to challenge for the accolades. But Rockets finally showed the tenacity and the fluidity, qualities full of reminiscences of last season.

Portland started the match with a bang, taking a 15-point lead in the first quarter. But the hosts then woke up from their slumber and closed out the first phase with a 15-2 run, and thus cutting the deficit to just 2 points.

The game continued to tip-toe and it was Rockets who opened the penultimate quarter with an impressive 19-5 run to take a score to 100-83. But Blazers responded with their own 14-2 burst, bringing the deficit down to just five points.

However, Rockets held on and scored nine more poinst to win for the first time in the four games.

Los Angeles Lakers:
The Showtime won for the fifth time in the last six games after beating Miami Heat 108-105 at Staples Centre. The 16-time NBA Champions are now 5th in the Western Conference with a 17-10 record.

However, the last match was not any regular game, and perhaps the win which Lebron James may have liked the least in his glittering career. It was the last time when he was facing Dwyane Wade on a Basketball court as the 2006 NBA finals MVP has already declared his decision to take retirement at the end of the current season.

It was LeBron, however, who took the bragging rights of winning the last duel between his Lakers and Wade’s Heat.

Regular Season Record-
Houston Rockets: W-12, L-14
Los Angeles Lakers: W-17, L-10

Players to watch out for:
Houston Rockets:
James Harden – Mr Beard is the reigning NBA MVP and looks in no mood to hand it to any other player this season as well, such has been his numbers up until now. The 29-year-old superstar is racking up points in the 30s, more than enough to fetch him more personal accolades. He should be a star in your NBA fantasy team.
Clint Capela – He is reaching his full potential and could be an all-around performer for Houston in this season and beyond, just like Draymond Green for Golden State Warriors. The 24-year-old has points, rebounds, assists and the aggression to become an indispensable part of this Rockets team.

Los Angeles Lakers:

Lebron James – Some players make a journey which goes beyond any description and LeBron is one of those players who are standing alone on their perch. The former Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers star is the reason why Lakers are finally looking like a genuine contender in the West. The four-time NBA MVP is racking up 28.3 points per game, and also dropping more rebounds and assists per game than any of his teammates.
Kyle Kuzma – Still just 23 and some time away from unlocking his true potential. With LeBron around, he can hope to become a better player. The Michigan born star is dropping 17.9 points per game and is quite consistent with his performance.

HOU vs LAL Dream11 Fantasy Team:

INDIA FANTASY PREDICTION:

Last season, Rockets were killing teams for fun and Lakers were one of the victims during Houston’s imperious runs. But the time has changed, quite drastically for both the teams. Now LeBron is in Los Angeles while Rockets are going through a struggling period, failing to build any kind of momentum.
This is not a good time for Houston to face Lakers and we are backing the Showtime to win this match.
