HOU vs SAS Dream11

HOU vs SAS Dream11: NBA midseason is here and well, the battles have heated up even more with some teams hitting the midseason form and others hitting a slump. Well, this window is also close to the trade deadline and it will not be a surprise if some of the squads engage in big-time trades, which can cause lineup shuffles. Well, in this game, the Houston Rockets will meet the San Antonio Spurs.

Rockets have been playing as expected and as a rebuilding team, they have faced a bunch of losses this season. Although the team has played well recently, the overall picture means that they are pretty much out of the Play-in Tournament contention.

Meanwhile, the Spurs have been having a difficult month, losing around 80% of the games this season. San Antonio is also a rebuilding team and they have been building a solid core but yes right now, they have struggled to keep teams away from building big leads.

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

Rockets: Wood and Gordon plus Green and Porter Jr.
Rockets have been in the rebuilding but their premier scorer and rebounder has been Christian Wood. Eric Gordon has done well as an off-guard scorer and considering his experience, he has given Houston the much-needed leadership. However, I have a doubt that both of these will stay here long-term and I think either one or both of them can be traded elsewhere. Well, Christian Wood can help a team like the Lakers while Eric can be a bench player for a team like the Knicks. How long will these two players stay here?

Kevin Porter Jr. has been doing well on the offensive side after struggling for most parts of the season. As a major playmaker, Porter Jr. helps the Rockets in generating quality offense. Meanwhile, rookie Jalen Green has had his moments but he has been struggling to shoot the ball recently. With these two at the helm of the backcourt, bench players like rookie Sengun, Martin Jr., Brooks, Christopher, and especially Matthews have done well but I think the Rockets are still a couple of young players away from being a solid rebuilding team.

Spurs: Solid young core but long ways to go
Spurs have been doing well on the offensive end but yes, until this month, they had been scoring 110+ on a regular basis. Recently, some of the players have struggled to get going but the promise is high with this team. This team is run by Greg Popovich so you know there is a lot of emphasis on sharing the ball and well with two playmakers like Murray and White, the ball is constantly moving. San Antonio’s defense has been underwhelming and that is mostly the reason for these many losses.

DeJounte Murray is a force for the team and he has been responsible for many wins this season, playing at a high level throughout the season. Derrick White has been doing his job well too, meanwhile, Jakob Poeltl has been huge on boards and inside scoring. Keldon Johnson and Doug McDermott are two wings that can stretch the floor. Off the bench, Devin Vassell and Lonnie Walker IV have done well but yes, they can be more consistent.
