LAL vs LAC Dream11: Before we talk about the game, we must first acknowledge that the NBA athletes put their bodies under the line game in and game out. Even deep bench players who don’t get many minutes have worked on the craft for years and put in a lot of work to get where they are. The NBA game is up and down and takes a lot of toll on the body as the season unfolds and before it even begins, there are training camps, difficult exercises, etc. Anyway, keeping the context in the mind, let us jump into the game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Lakers are having a tough season and they are yet to meet the expectations set upon them. Not only is a big winning streak is pending, but the team has also even gone on big-time losing streaks. However, we want quick results, like the quick-time game and taxing schedule of the NBA. Perhaps, the team will find its groove late in the season or in the next season?

On the other hand, the Clippers have fought despite missing George and Leonard. While their record is close to the Lakers, they have been done well without two of their key players and second-string players stitching together some big-time performances. For me, the Clippers have been a rather inspirational story this season.

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

Lakers: Can they salvage something from here?
The Lakers are two games below the 50% win, way behind the elite squads and even the mid-tier Playoffs squads this season. But do remember, they remain in the Play-in contention, however, it isn’t like that they have sealed a Play-in spot either but perhaps that seems to be the best they can do here. Remember last season, the team went on a big run to close out the season and they will need even a bigger effort here to get a higher spot. It means winning around 70% of their games from here.

Davis and Westbrook pairing did fetch a win against the Trail Blazers but unless the Lakers win against elite squads, they will not be taken seriously by their fanbase. LeBron James has been injured lately but he will be back soon and I know he will be on a mission once he comes back, that guy just has too much hunger for the game. So it is time when players like Monk, Anthony, Bradley, Horton-Tucker, Reaves, Howard, and Johnson will have to hustle hard and make sure that the team gets in some kind of groove. Can they? Or will the management pull off some low-key trade and get some two-way guard/wing or a strong Center?

Clippers: The fight is on, who will step up next?
Clippers have done well this season considering how they have first played without their ace Kawhi Leonard and when Paul George went down, it really affected their two-way prowess. However, the team is highly experienced and has learned to stay afloat with their never-say-die spirit. This is a squad that has erased once a 25 points deficit and then a 35 points deficit, which implies that the team has fought on. This is due to different players coming up with big-time games and some brilliant coaching by Ty Lue who has done a great job so far. Once George returns, a 50% win record can mean that the team can make a strong push as the postseason nears.

Amir Coffey’s inclusion to the starting five has brought great results while Reggie Jackson despite his up-and-down production this season has been integral to the Clippers’ success. Marcus Morris Sr. may need some time to get his rhythm because of an injury. Luke Kennard, Brandon Boston Jr., and Nicolas Batum have had big games every now and then but yes, Kennard is more consistent of the three. Terance Mann provides defensive chops but his scoring has fallen off during most of the games. Serge Ibaka has done decently but yes, Ivica Zubac seems to be a better fit at the starting Center position. Can the feisty Clippers keep scrapping?

NBA Scores, Fantasy Basketball Top Picks

Anthony Davis(LAL)
Points: 30
Rebounds: 15
Assists: 02
Blocks: 03

Davis is back in the groove since he has returned and his ability to stack up points is surely a boon. The Center can be expected to score 25+ points and pull down 10+ rebounds on a regular basis. The Power Forward/Center can be selected as a Star/Pro Player in the Dream 11 NBA Fantasy scenario. Will he be rested in the back-to-back affair?
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 45-59

Reggie Jackson(LAC)
Points: 21
Rebounds: 03
Assists: 05
Reggie has been a big-time scorer and playmaker for the Clippers all season long and his veteran presence has helped the team quite a bit. He has scored 13 or more in three straight games while dishing around 5 assists quite a bit.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 23-35

Russell Westbrook(LAL)
Points: 09
Rebounds: 10
Assists: 13
Steals: 01

Russell has been one of the healthier players all season long and his ability to score, hand over assists, and notch rebounds is a huge plus, but his numbers are surely down. I expect Westbrook to score 15+, pull down 6+ rebounds, and 7+ assists a game regularly.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 39-49

Amir Coffey(LAC)
Points: 27
Rebounds: 05
Assists: 04
Amir has been doing a great job as the starter and has certainly raised his scoring level for the Clippers’ benefit. The guard has scored 15 or more points in four of the last five games, grabbing 4-6 rebounds a game.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 25-37

Malik Monk(LAL)
Points: 07
Rebounds: 04
Assists: 01
Blocks: 01
Malik shot 2/10 in the last game but he has the ability to go for big nights every now and then. I believe he can score 14+ points here.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 19-30

Marcus Morris Sr.(LAC)
Points: 09
Rebounds: 05
Assists: 04
Marcus has hit a sort of shooting slump after having big-time offensive production for most of the season. Morris has been in the 9-16 points and 5 rebounds range during the latest window.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 22-33
