How did they qualify:

Spain:

Sailed through Group A as they recorded six wins from as many games. The next round, or the final qualification round to be precise, was more or less the similar story as three-time Olympic Silver medalists won 10 times in 12 games, qualifying for the 2019 FIBA World Cup as leaders from Group I.

Tunisia:

Never were in trouble. The North African country qualified to the 2nd round with a 100% record and went on to win 10 times in 12 matches.

SPA vs TUN Dream11 team News:

Spain:

  • Head coach Sergio Scariolo left out both Jaime Fernandez and Ilimane Diop from his final roster for the 2019 FIBA World Cup.

Tunisia:

  • Mario Palma included Shooting guard Michael Roll, and Dallas Mavericks‘ centre Salah Mejri, to his roster for the World Cup.
  • The decision came as a surprise as the duo missed Tunisia’s World Cup African qualifiers due to different reasons. But the fact that they are in the team makes Tunisia’s roster a tad more optimistic.

Squad for the 2019 FIBA World Cup:

Spanish squad:

Marc Gasol, Xavi Rabaseda, Pau Ribas, Víctor Claver, Quino Colom, Sergio Llull, Ricky Rubio, Juancho Hernangómez, Javier Beirán, Rudy Fernández, Willy Hernangómez, Pierre Oriola
