How they fared in the group stage?

It was more of the USA-esque performance in the final group game, with Gregg Popovich's men finally putting up a show to thwart every lingering doubt about the team's chemistry and the desire to win the competition.

Almost every portion of the court was dominated by the USA against Japan, whether it was defending or positioning inside the pain while defending, or the shooting from beyond the arc. Everything finally clicked.

Popovich used all his resources wisely, allowing all the 10 players more than 15 minutes on the court.

Jaylen Brown scored the game-high 20 points, while Kemba Walker (15 points, 8 assists and 2 rebounds) and Donovan Mitchell (10 points, 6 assists and 3 rebounds) made significant contribution.

The World No-8 team suffered a shock in Game-2 after suffering a one-point 78-79 defeat at the hands of Brazil.

The Greeks needed a win in the last group game to clinch a spot in the 2nd round, which they did by beating New Zealand 103-97.

Giannis Antetokounmpo dropped a double-double, scoring 24 points, and 10 rebounds.

  • Head coach Gregg Popovich has no injury concerns or suspension to contend with ahead of this game.
  • The San Antonio Spurs coach made some changes to his squad for the game against Japan, and we expect him to revert back to the squad which he sued in the first two games.
  • The most notable absentee in the last game was Jayson Tatum, who was allowed a rest to be available afresh for the huge game against Greece.
  • Expect Joe Harris to feature from the bench as a result.

  • No injury problems for Greece.
  • Antonis Koniaris is not in the squad.
