Corey Kispert guarding Kyle Kuzma WAS vs MIA Dream11

WAS vs MIA Dream11: NBA trade deadline is nearing and well, the rumour mill has kept on churning for a long time now. With the way things are going, the scenarios are going to shift and with players and management both requiring changes, there can be so many moves being pulled off. One of the teams here in the Washington Wizards can also be in the play to work out some trades.

They will meet the Miami Heat in an Eastern Conference match-up. Wizards have lost 28 games and have won 24 games, losing seven of the last eight games and in tatters as of now. With Beal out, the team has lost the offensive side as well. Kyle Kuzma has been doing a job at the wing both in terms of scoring and rebounding end. However, the overall balance has been disturbed and the team has lost the plot.

On the other hand, the Heat has been playing a high standard of basketball throughout the season. They have 14 more wins than losses and their production is already way better than the last season. Heat has been one of the deepest teams all season long and they have the potential to be even better. Can the team make a deep postseason run this season?

Host: Washington Wizards
Visitors: Miami Heat

Match Timing: 8 February, @ 05:30 AM

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

Wizards: Will they make some trades?
Wizards may make some trades soon considering how poorly they have played since mid-November and coach Wes Unseld has been unable to unlock the full potential of this lineup. The biggest concern has been the form of Spencer Dinwiddie, who keeps misfiring from the field. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has been doing well but in the overall scheme, he is not someone through whom you can run the offense. The Center position has been in disarray and Montrezl Harrell has done well off the bench but the overall balance has been disturbed.

Corey Kispert and Deni Advija are two young wings but they have some ways to go before becoming enforcers. I’d argue that the team can try a starting unit of three wings with Advija, Kispert, and Kuzma at wing positions, Spencer at the one-guard and Hachimura in the middle in a small-ball scheme with Caldwell-Pope, Neto, and Harrell in the second unit or perhaps Advija, Caldwell-Pope, Dinwiddie, Hachimura, and Bryant in the first unit. But yes, the current combinations have not brought in the desired results. However, will the current unit even stick together after the trade deadline?

Heat: Depth is the key
The Heat has rather built a deep team, stitching together both a formidable main five and a deep bench. The core of Butler, Adebayo, Herro, and Robinson saw the addition of Tucker and Lowry in the offseason. Two defensive-minded players who have boosted the current balance of the Miami outfit. The thing is with both of these players you also get vocal leadership and endless hustle, there is no doubt that having two players in your team with championship experience can help in building quality habits. And at the end of the day, an 82-game season for a team means building strong habits.

So, it begs the question, what about the postseason fortunes? I think at this point, Heat fans will dream about making Eastern Conference Finals. And why not! They are at the top of the Eastern Conference. Now, it isn’t like that the race is done, the first spot is pretty much open and the race is only becoming more intense between the Heat, Cavaliers, Bulls, Bucks, and Sixers. However, the rest of the teams lack the bench depth of this squad so the Heat can end up defending their current spot. Can the Heat keep going on the current rhythm?

Montrezl Harrell(WAS)
