There's a lot to play for in the cricket world tomorrow, with three matches scheduled in three different series. In ICC World Cup Qualifiers, Afghanistan are up against Ireland in the all-important match for the Cricket World Cup 2019 berth. In Tri-Nation Women’s T20 Series in India, England Women will begin their tour of India against Australia Women at Mumbai. In the last but not the least cricket fixture, North will take on South in the decider of North-South series.
Ireland vs Afghanistan – Super Sixes World Cup Qualifier
Afghanistan will look up to Mohammad Nabi, Najibullah Zadran, Rahmat Shah and Gulbadin Naib for the impetus with the bat. The spin-duo of Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Rashid Khan are the leading wicket-takers for team Afghanistan.
Ireland rely on their captain William Porterfield, who has scored 227 runs in 5 innings. He has received good support from Paul Stirling who has made 212 runs in 5 games. Tim Murtagh and Boyd Rankin have decently with the ball.
Australia Women vs England Women – Tri-Nation Women’s T20 Series 2018
After winning the first match of the Tri-Nation Women’s T20 Series, Australia Women lock horns against England Women in the second match. Beth Mooney, Elyse Villani and captain Meg Lanning led the charge with the bat for Australia Women to successfully eclipse India’s 152/5 with 11 balls to spare. With the ball, Ashleigh Gardner and Ellyse Perry had notable bowling returns.
England played two warm-up games coming into the tournament, where skipper Heather Knight, Bryony Smith, Tammy Beaumont, Nat Sciver and Danielle Hazell all had good outings with the bat. Katie George was the star with the ball, picking a 4-fer in one of the games.
North vs South – 3rd One-day, North-South Series, 2018
In the decider of the three-match series, South and North lock horns at Three Ws Oval in Bridgetown. For South, Nick Gubbins has scored 116 and 109 in two match. In the bowling department, Sam Curran and Dominic Bess have troubled the opponents.
Joe Clarke, Matthew Critchley and Steven Mullaney have done the bulk of scoring for North so far in the series. Saqib Mahmood is their most successful bowler, with one 5-fer in the series.
