Asif Ali’s T20 numbers will definitely make your jaws drop. A dynamic batsman capable of scoring in 360 degrees, Asif Ali scored 100(59) in his debut T20 match for Faisalabad Wolves as a 19 y/o and impressed everyone with his six-hitting ability.

Pakistan Super League, the principal T20 league of Pakistan cricket launched in 2016 helped Asif Ali showcase his extraordinary skills at the world stage. Impressed by his batting form in the Quaid-e-Azam trophy and Pakistan Cup, Asif Ali was signed by Islamabad United for the PSL 2018 edition. With the backing of Dean Jones and Misbah-Ul-Haq, Asif Ali became their established finisher as he scored 213 runs from 12 matches at a S/R of 169.04. He played a key role in Islamabad’s tournament win often scoring quickly at the death. The hard-hitting batsman finished the tournament in style by taking on Hasan Ali and hitting him for 3 consecutive sixes in the final.
With Pakistan cricket team lacking power in the middle and Asif Ali’s extraordinary 2018 PSL season, he was pushed into international cricket making his T20I and ODI debut in the same year. He tasted some early success in international cricket but couldn’t sustain the adaptability it required.
After being left out from the preliminary squad for the 2019 World Cup, Asif Ali impressed the selectors with two consecutive fifties in the England tour just before the World Cup and forced his selection into the squad. Tragedy struck him when his 19-month-old daughter passed away after fighting cancer in the USA just before the World Cup. He has become a T20 globetrotter since his debut PSL season and has played in T20 leagues all over the world. He’ll be playing for Jamaican Tallawahs in his first-ever CPL season.
