Additionally, he lost his coach and was unable to perform well in Challenger Trophy due to him being still recovering from Dengue. This also meant he could not represent India in U19 level. In 2021, he was selected in Red Bull Trials, and was a net bowler for Rajasthan Royals. Then, after sending his bowling videos to franchises, he impressed KKR, who bought him in IPL 2022 Auction.
