Marcus Harris is the left handed opening batter born on 21 July 1992 in Perth. He was quite impressive in his third first class match for Western Australia, when he scored 157 in 2011/12 domestic season. But, until 2015, his performances were average and switched to Victoria side, which ultimately made his career.

In 2016/17 Sheffield Shield, Marcus Harris was the leading run scorer for Victoria with 808 runs, which brought him into national reckoning. He then made his test debut against India in December 2018. In 2018/19 Sheffield Shield, he was the highest run scorer with 1188 runs and helped the Victoria team to lift the title. His consistency in domestic circuit and trust of coach and captain earned him a regular place in the Australian squad.
