Priyank Panchal – One of the top rated cricketers in the Indian domestic circuit, Priyank Panchal is in news, since he has been drafted as an injury cover for Rohit Sharma. He captained the India A team against South Africa in 2021. Panchal’s cricketing career started at an early age, when he played in U-15 Polly Umrigar Trophy during 2003-2004.

After playing well in the Vijay Mechant Trophy, he finally got to play his first match for Gujarat. Panchal featured in his first List A game against Maharashtra in February 2008, and scored a terrific half century. Later in the same year, his debut in first class cricket came against Saurashtra in Ranji Trophy.
The top order batsman’s stats are quite outstanding in the domestic circuit, and truly deserves a spot in Indian team. He has scored 7011 runs in 100 First Class matches, including 24 centuries. In 75 List A games, Panchal has hit 2854 runs, and has 1327 runs in T20s.
In the 2016-17 Ranji Trophy, Priyank Panchal became the first ever triple centurion for Gujarat and completed the season with 1310 runs, and helped the state team to lift the title.
Priyank Panchal has not featured for any of the teams in the Indian Premier League, due to its focus on the red ball cricket.
It has been learnt that the Gujarat batter is not yet married, and does not have any wife.
