Michael Neser was born in Pretoria, South Africa, but they moved to Queensland when Neser was 10 years old. His cricketing career started, when he played for Queensland in the U-19 tournaments in 2008. 2 years later, he was handed his debut in the List A and First Class Cricket.

Neser is a bowling all rounder and has been quite impressive across all formats of the game. He has played in Big Bash League for Brisbane Heat and Adelaide Strikers, and also featured for Punjab franchise in the IPL.
Neser has been an active player in the Australia A teams. After making an ODI debut in 2018 against England, he featured in his first test match in Ashes 2021/22. Neser has been a quality performer, especially in the first class format with the red cherry. While his batting performances have been fine as well in the lower middle order.
Neser has 236 wickets and 2032 runs in First Class format, and has 69 scalps with 740 runs in List A format. While, he has been ordinary in the T20 format with 75 wickets and 420 runs. Until this writing of this article, he has 2 wickets in 2 ODI matches.
As per the sources on internet, it is being learnt that Michael Neser is not yet married, and do not have any wife.
With strong performances in the Big Bash League, Neser bagged a contract with the Punjab IPL franchise in the Indian Premier League. He featured for only 1 match in IPL 2013, and conceded 62 runs off 4 overs, without taking a wicket.
