Saurabh Kumar is an experienced left arm spin bowler and a handy batsman in the lower order who plays for Uttar Pradesh team in domestic cricket. He came into limelight by getting named in India squad for home test series against Sri Lanka in February 2022.

Due to limited scope of getting opportunity in his state side, he worked in Indian Air Force and made his domestic debut in a first class fixture against Himachal Pradesh for Services in 2014.

His performances in the season helped him to feature for his state, Uttar Pradesh since 2015 across all the formats of the game. The most successful spinner for the state was a part of India A team for the last 2 series. He was also one of the net bowlers for the Indian team in a tour to England in 2021. With impressive track record in domestic cricket and picking 4 wickets for India A team against South Africa A in 2021, he earned a national call up to the Indian test side and would look to make it big in international cricket.

Saurabh Kumar has been brilliant with his consistency to pick wickets and score useful runs in the lower order for the Uttar Pradesh team for past few years. In 46 First Class appearances, Saurabh has scalped 196 wickets and contributed 1572 runs. His best performance came in 2018/19 Ranji Trophy, where he scalped 51 wickets in 10 matches and was the leading wicket taker for the Uttar Pradesh team.

In the List A format, he has 37 wickets in 25 matches to his name and has been average in the T20s with 24 wickets in 33 matches.
