England Playing 11 for ENG vs IND: In an important news development, hosts England have announced their playing 11 for the fifth and final rescheduled Test match against India at the Edgbaston in Birmingham starting from 1 July, 2022 (Friday). After having registered an amazing 3-0 Test series whitewash against New Zealand at home, England will definitely be feeling very much high on confidence. India currently lead the five-match Test series by 2-1 margin but the hosts have a great opportunity and in-form line-up to level things up.

The England Cricket Board (ECB) have named the playing 11 for the 5th and final Test match against India beginning from Friday. English senior pacer James Anderson returns to the playing XI after missing the third and final Test match against New Zealand. On the other hand, Sam Billings who was added in the 3rd Test as the Covid-19 replacement for wicket-keeper batsman Ben Foakes, has also retained his spot in the England side for this only Test match against India.

The likes of Zak Crawley, Joe Root, Ben Stokes and Jonny Bairstow will once again be expected to be their important mainstay clogs in the batting department. The trio of James Anderson, Stuart Broad and Matty Potts will be their crucial wicket-taking bowlers.
