Harbhajan Singh’s disrespectful tweet about West Indies draws heat
Former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh had a social media debacle when he put out a harsh tweet against the West Indies team on Friday. The Windies are touring India and are facing a tough time against India in the two-match series at the Saurashtra Cricket Stadium in Rajkot. India is the #1 test team in the world at the moment.
With all due respect to West Indies Cricket but I have a question for u all…will this west Indies team qualify for Ranji quarters from the plate group? Elite se to nahin hoga 🧐 #INDvsWI

India declared their first innings at a humongous score of 649/9 but the Windies could only score 94/6 at stumps on Day 2.
They are on the brink of a massive and embarrassing defeat. After such a performance, Harbhajan tweeted, “With all due respect to West Indies Cricket but I have a question for u all…will this West Indies team qualify for Ranji quarters from the plate group? Elite se toh nahin hoga”.
This was the exact feeling England were having when we were out there playing against them in their home ground! Don't be arrogant for no reason! Forgot that you are a sportsman?? #INDvWI #sportsmanship #staygrounded #stayhumble

Cricket fans, however, did not like this attack against West Indies. Many of his fans stated that he should have been more careful with his words in public. The enraged response was because of the fact that the West Indies team is considered to be sober and humble and undeserving of such treatment.
They are a young squad & this is a learing curve for them. They won a test in England with a brilliant chase in 4th innings.
Done recently well at home. Atleast your are cricketer & please stopping tweeting these shits.

If you can’t say something nice, you shouldn’t say anything at all. This is a sport which the world loves especially us Indians and something like this coming from on of our most capable players is unfortunate #harbhajansingh #cricket #CricketMeriJaan #WestIndies #lovecricket

Many Indian fans pointed out on Twitter that India had been in a similar situation not too long ago, when they struggled against England, and Harbhajan should have kept that in mind before taking a dig at the West Indies team.
