AUS Playing 11: Australia will be up against the hosts West Indies in the third T20I of the series here at St. Lucia. The visitors are trailing the series 0-2 and every game will be a do-or-die game for them now. They have been far from their best so far and need a inspirational performance to get back on the track. West Indies leads the head-to-head record in T20Is between these two teams 8-5. With series on the line, this might be a perfect opportunity for the Australians to show their strength. They are likely to come back harder.

Team News

  • Australia might bring in Ashton Turner lower down the order in place of Ben McDermott.
  • Mitchell Starc has been expensive in both the games and could be replaced by Andrew Tye.

AUS Playing 11 (likely)

Aaron Finch (C)
Matthew Wade (wk)
Mitchell Marsh
Josh Philippe
Moises Henriques
Ashton Turner
Dan Christian
Ashton Agar
Mitchell Starc/ Andrew Tye
Adam Zampa
Josh Hazlewood

The batting order has let Australia down in both the games. Apart from Mitchell Marsh who has struck to half-centuries in two games, no other batter has looked assured. Skipper Aaron Finch will be required to give them a good start and lead from the front. There have been middle order collapses in both the games which will be a concern. Bowling too, has lacked penetration with Starc not at his best.
