Aus vs Ind predicted XIs 1st odi

Earlier this year, Australia toured India for a 3 match ODI series and they thrashed India by 10 wickets in the first ODI. They played with their full strength squad that included Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, David Warner, and Steve Smith. The only noticeable name that went missing was Glenn Maxwell.

They gave the impression of the vintage Australians and it was expected that Australia would take the series 3-0 after their utter dominance in the 1st game but India came back like a champion side to win the series 2-1. This brief build-up is to reiterate the fierce rivalry between these 2 sides and the enthralling action that will be on display when these 2 sides lock horns against each other.

It will once again be the clash of the titans on 27th of November when India begin their tour down under with the ODI series. Here, lets predict the possible playing11 of both the sides.

India

Can Mayank Agarwal fill Rohit Sharma’s shoes?

Mayank Agarwal was in breathtaking form in the IPL and with no Rohit Sharma for the limited overs series, Mayank Agarwal might partner Shikhar Dhawan at the top with Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer to follow.

Strong and a settled lower middle order

India’s lower middle order looks much settled with the arrival of Hardik Pandya who will play at #6. It is also expected that India will persist with KL Rahul in the all important #5 spot with Ravindra Jadeja taking up the crucial spin bowling all-rounder’s spot at #7.Hardik Pandya

All-round bowling attack
India will have A class bowling attack that will consist of Navdeep Saini, Mohammad Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal. Though, traditionally, Kuldeep Yadav has been considered ahead of Yuzvendra Chahal in ODIs, the form of Kuldeep Yadav at the moment doesn’t seem to favor his case.

India might also consider to rotate their fast bowlers to keep them fresh for the test series but they are expected to play their full strength XI since it is the first match of the tour.

India predicted XI
Mayank Agarwal, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (WK), Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Navdeep Saini, Mohammad Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal

Australia

Rock solid top 4
Their top 4 is one of the best in the world as far as ODI cricket is concerned. The young sensation in Marnus Labuschagne adds great stability along with the experienced trio of Aaron Finch, David Warner and Steve Smith. They might also consider playing Marcus Stoinis at #3 as they did in England.

Fragile middle order
Though, they have some solid names in their lower middle order, the likes of Marcus Stoinis and Glenn Maxwell are all inconsistent by nature. Alex Carey will take the wicket-keeping duties and will slot in at #6.Glenn Maxwell
Complete bowling attack
Though, the availability of Pat Cummins is still under covers, they have Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood as premium pacers along with Adam Zampa as their lead spinner which should be a threatening attack to any batting lineup.

Australia predicted XI
Aaron Finch, David Warner, Marcus Stoinis, Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith, Alex Carey, Glenn Maxwell, Pat Cummins/Sean Abbott, Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa, Josh Hazelwood.
