DC vs CSK Live: The three-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are currently locking horns with the Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Qualifier 1 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season. The game is being played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni won the toss and opted to bowl first.

The Delhi Capitals got off to a sensational start as opening batter Prithvi Shaw looked in a remarkable touch at the top. He scored an amazing half-century in quick time before the team lost four wickets. However, DC captain Rishabh Pant smacked an incredible one-handed six off Shardul Thakur’s bowling in the 16th over of the innings. The fabulous hit from Pant may have come from just one hand but it went nearly 86 metres towards the mid-wicket region.

DC vs CSK IPL 2021 Qualifier 1 Live:

After losing the toss and being asked to bat first, the Delhi Capitals started off things on an aggressive note smashing a total of 51 runs in the first six overs of the powerplay. Prithvi Shaw was the star performer having notched up a quick-fire knock of 60 runs off only 34 balls that included 7 fours and 3 sixes. The Chennai Super Kings made a big comeback by picking four wickets in the middle-overs phase, however, the duo of Shimron Hetmyer and Rishabh Pant spoiled their party to a great extent.

Pant and Hetmyer added a crucial partnership of 83 runs for the fifth wicket. Hetmyer got out after scoring 37 runs off 24 balls, but Pant stayed there till the end playing an excellent unbeaten innings of 51 runs off just 35 balls that comprised of 3 fours and 2 sixes that helped the Delhi Capitals finish with a challenging total of 172 for 5 on the scoreboard. For the Chennai Super Kings, Josh Hazlewood picked up two wickets while the trio of Shardul, Moeen Ali and Bravo finished with a wicket each.
