Aiden Markram IND vs SA: It has not been the ideal result for the Indian team during the first two T20I matches but on the other hand, things have worked out perfectly well for South Africa so far. The Proteas have got the better of Men in Blue in both the T20I matches in a convincing fashion. South Africa have a 2-0 lead in the five-match T20I series and are just one win away from sealing the series in their favour.
South Africa suffered a huge blow as their premier middle-order batsman Aiden Markram tested positive for Covid-19 ahead of the opening T20I encounter against India. Incidentally, Markram returned a positive Covid test on 9 June, 2022 and thus, he is yet to complete his mandatory quarantine period.
This also means that the right-hander will not be available for selection in the South Africa playing 11 during the upcoming 3rd T20I match against India scheduled on 14 June, 2022 (Tuesday) at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.
It will also be interesting to see whether Quinton de Kock has fully recovered from his hand injury or not. If he is fit, de Kock will straightaway walk into the South Africa playing XI in place of Reeza Hendricks on Tuesday.
