Incidentally, Markram returned a positive Covid test on 9 June, 2022 and thus, he is yet to complete his mandatory quarantine period.

This also means that the right-hander will not be available for selection in the South Africa playing 11 during the upcoming 3rd T20I match against India scheduled on 14 June, 2022 (Tuesday) at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.
