Since the cricket action resumed,  they have been in constant bio-bubbles and no amount of interaction has been possible due to the chances of spread of cases. But, the containment of covid cases have been some times not in under someone’s control, and the same has been found right in the latest happening of Indian cricket.

The BCCI Media Advisory team posted an update regarding the covid positive cases of some players. The likes of Shikhar Dhawan and Navdeep Saini were found covid positive in the 1st test conducted on 31st January. Then after subsequent tests, likes of Shreyas Iyer and Ruturaj Gaikwad were tested positive as well.

Due to the close interaction with Dhawan, Yuzvendra Chahal has also been said to isolate himself, despite being found negative in all the 3 Tests. While Axar Patel, who was yet to join the team bubble at Ahmedabad for T20I series has been tested positive as well.


India vs West Indies: Bowling options for Indian Team in 1st ODI against West Indies

With Yuzvendra Chahal testing positive, there will be some fine changes for the Indian team’s bowling line up for 1st ODI against West Indies. If the Ahmedabad pitch assist the spinners, Kuldeep Yadav is quite certain to feature in this fixture.

The 2nd spin option will be a toss up between Washington Sundar and youngster Ravi Bishnoi, with former having experience and proven abilities with the bat. The 3 pacers are likely to be Deepak Chahar, Prasidh Krishna, and Mohammed Siraj, who have done well in their previous outings for the Indian team.
