IPL 2020: 5 Players who can help KXIP to the maiden IPL title

The Kings XI Punjab is among one of the teams along with the Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals who are yet to lift and IPL title. However, under the captaincy of KL Rahul who’s been in sublime form up lately the Kings XI Punjab outfit could make a serious impact in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. Let’s take a look at some of the five players from the Punjab dugout who will be key going ahead in the tournament.

1. KL Rahul

Ever since the ICC Cricket World Cup of 2019, KL Rahul has been as important a batsman in the team as as a Virat Kohli or a Rohit Sharma. Rahul’s adaptability to bat at any position makes him real asset for any team. In the recently concluded series to New Zealand, Captain Kohli was unable to fire with the bat, but Rahul’s consistency with the bat was evident to one an all. Above all that, the Punjab skipper is also a decent wicket-keeper who hasn’t at all done too bad from behind the stumps.

Most of all it’s his form in T20 cricket which makes him all the more lethal. From 41 T20Is for Team India, KL Rahul has scored 1461 runs from 41 matches, with an average of 45.66 and strike rate of 146.1, which also includes 11 fifties and two, hundreds to his name. Talking about his record in the IPL, Rahul has 1977 runs from 58 innings with a strike rate of 138.16, that includes 16 fifties and a a ton under his belt. With all that being said, KL Rahul will  be a strong contender to win the orange cap this season.
