Lucknow Super Giants Troll Rajasthan Royals Lucknow IPL Team Name IPL 2022

Lucknow Super Giants IPL 2022: The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been intensified with the introduction of two new teams namely Lucknow and Ahmedabad. After a lot of speculations and suspense, the Lucknow IPL team owners finally announced that the franchise will be called “Lucknow Super Giants”. However, the announcement faced huge criticism on the social media as it was quite identical to the previously debunked-franchise ‘Rising Pune Supergiant’ that was also owned by the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group.

Just like some of the other fans on Twitter, the Rajasthan Royals also trolled the Lucknow IPL franchise over their identical team name to previous Pune side. The Rajasthan Royals Twitter account posted a snippet from the Bollywood movie Andaz Apna Apna where actor Paresh Rawal played a comedy role. However, the Lucknow Super Giants have come up with a befitting reply saying that they too missed Rajasthan Royals during the years in 2016 and 2017 when they faced suspension along with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) due to their alleged involvement in the 2013 IPL match-fixing scandal.

“With all due respect, we missed you those 2 years,” Lucknow Super Giants wrote on Twitter.
