Most maiden overs in IPL – To bowl a dot ball in T20 is good, but to bowl six continuous dot balls is an achievement. Twenty 20 is a batsmen’s format and for a bowler to bowl maiden overs speaks volume about the ability of the bowler.

Swing bowlers like Praveen Kumar, Irfan Pathan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar are at the top 3 positions for having bowled most number of maidens in Indian Premier League. Good exponents of swing bowling can make the ball talk and when a bowler has the ability to move the ball in both the directions, it is going to be a tough time for the batsmen to put bat on ball.
Praveen Kumar and Irfan Pathan have represented five different IPL franchise in their IPL career while Bhuvneshwar Kumar has represented only 2 teams in Pune Warriors India and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
All the aforementioned bowlers used to swing the ball both ways without any major change in their action which gives no clue to the batsmen.
Harbhajan Singh is the only spinner in the top 10 list for bowlers with most maidens. This again proves the skillset of Harbhajan Singh and the defensive mindset he had when the spinners were looking to pick wickets and thereby going for big runs.
