PBKS Playing 11 – IPL 2022 was another disappointing season for the Punjab Kings as they failed to qualify for IPL playoffs yet again. Their wait for the IPL Trophy continues and they would be hoping to end their hunt in IPL 2023 to clinch their maiden IPL title.

Shikhar Dhawan yet again was the the Mr consistent for his side in the IPL 2022 and there’s no brainier that he’ll continue opening for PBKS next year as well. Skipper Mayank Agarwal wasn’t in the greatest of form in 2022 and dropped himself to No.4 but it is expected that he’ll return back to the top.

The overseas trio of Jonny Bairstow, Bhunka Rajapaksa and Liam Livingstone are likely to bat at No.3,4 and 5. The English opener after having below-par first few games proved his prowess and while the Sri Lankan played a role of floater. Livingstone was Punjab’s most valuable player as he contributed both with bat and ball.

Jitesh Sharma, who made himself a name in the IPL 2022 is expected to get a long run in the next edition. Rishi Dhawan, who was decent with the new ball is expected to be the pace bowling all-rounder in the with Harpreet Brar being the spin-bowling all-rounder.

Rahul Chahar, for whom PBKS spent a lot of money at IPL 2022 auction, will be the lone spinner in the playing XI for next season. While their pace bowling will be bolstered by Kagiso Rabada and Arshdeep Singh, who impressed many with his death bowling in IPL 2022.
