MI Playing 11 – Five-time champions Mumbai Indians had a season to forgetful IPL 2022. They for the first time in the history of Indian Premier League, MI were the winners of the ‘wooden spoon’ as they ended the league last on the points table.  Known for strong comebacks, Mumbai Indians is expected to come out all guns blazing in IPL 2023 .

Skipper Rohit Sharma and wicketkeeper batter are likely to open in the next edition of the league for MI. At No.3 it is expected that MI would give longer run to young South African Dewald Brevis, who impressed many with his stroke play.

Suryakumar Yadav and young sensation Tilak Varma are likely to bat at No.4 and No.5 respectively. While Yadav is a proven customer, Varma was the second-highest run-scorer for MI in the IPL 2022.

Although Kieron Pollard has played a great role in Mumbai Indians’ success, but the franchise would be keeping an eye on the future and therefore Tim David is likely to play ahead of the Pollard. The Singapore all-rounder displayed a sensational display of brutal hitting.

Daniel Sams, whose performance wasn’t up to the mark in the first half of 2021 made a staggering comeback in the second half and bowled some sensational spells.
