Who won today’s IPL match?: It was a festival of runs in the match 30th of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 that saw Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders face off each other at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. The game witnessed Jos Buttler smashing his second half-century of the season. But it was one hell of a batting display by KKR in the second innings. In the end RR held their nerves better and defended 11 runs to register the win by 7 runs.

Losing the toss came as a blessing in disguise for the Rajasthan Royals as Jos Buttler took them off the flyer. The keeper-batsman continued his red-hot form and scored his second century of the season. He scored 103 runs in 61 balls and was well complimented by Devdutt Padikkal (24), Sanju Samson (38), Shimron Hetymer (26*). RR posted a total of 217 runs on the board, which is the highest of the season. For KKR, Sunil Narine was the pick of the bowlers and returned with the figures of 2/21.

Chasing the target, it was a horrendous start for KKR as they lost opener Sunil Narine on the very ball of the innings to a run out. But after that Aaron Finch tonked the RR bowlers all over the park for his fiery knock of 58 runs in just 28 balls. Skipper Shreyas Iyer too played a sensational knock of 85 runs. Yuzvendra Chahal then turned the game towards his side when he took four wickets in the 17th over including a hat-trick. There was a twist in the tale yet again when Umesh Yadav smashed 20 runs off Trent Boult’s over to change the momentum. With 11 runs needed in the last over Obed McCoy removed Sheldon Jackson and then Umesh Yadav to win the match for his side by 7 runs.

Rajasthan Royal’s leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal was awarded the Player of the Match in today’s encounter against Kolkata Knight Riders. The senior Indian spinner displayed wonderful skills of leg spin and turned the game towards his side when it seemed that they were under scanner. He took four wickets in the 17th over of the innings and conceded just two runs. He also took his maiden five-fer in the IPL. He returned with the figures of 5/40 to win the game for his side.
