Glenn Maxwell Six: The IPL 2021 started today with Mumbai Indians taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore at Chepauk. The MI team started well with Chris Lynn and Rohit Sharma. After Rohit’s wicket, Suryakumar Yadav stabilized the team before getting caught to Ab de Villiers on a score of 31. The quickfire contribution of 49 from Lynn proved to be crucial for the team as they could not finish well even with the likes of Pandya brothers, Pollard and Ishan Kishan, and had to settle for the score of 158.

MI vs RCB: Glenn Maxwell hits a 100 metre six

The Royal Challengers Bangalore has got quality overseas players this season in the presence of  Ab de Villiers, Glenn Maxwell, Daniel Christian, and Kyle Jamieson. In the match against MI, the team got good contributions from Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell in the batting department while chasing a total of 158. The captain Virat Kohli is seen amazed by the huge shot hit by the batting all-rounder.

RCB win a thriller in the opening game of IPL 2021

The Royal Challengers Bangalore won the 1st match of the Indian Premier League 2021 season. The team restricted Mumbai Indians to a total of 158, with Harshal Patel picking 5 wickets. In reply, the batsman of the RCB team played well with Virat and Maxwell being the top-performers. Then in the lower middle-order, Ab De Villiers played a quickfire innings to get the team closer to the target. The team chased down the total in the last ball of the innings with Harshal Patel hitting the winning runs.
