The Indian Premier League 2021 is set to be concluded on 15th October. The Phase 1 of the tournament was being played in India, but was postponed due to the covid cases being transmitted to different team camps. Then the Phase 2 was scheduled to be played at the United Arab Emirates, with the final being played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
The tournament saw the young players taking center stage and pushing the team to win matches and creating their reputation. The lesser known players like Venkatesh Iyer, Shivam Mavi, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh, and Avesh Khan were the key performers for their teams.
The IPL 2021 final will be played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings. The Kolkata Knight Riders have reached the final in the 2012 and 2014, and have lifted the title both times, and will look to take the track record in their advantage. While the Chennai Super Kings boasts of a comparatively more experienced side, and have won the title 3 times. They were the 2nd best team in the tournament.
It is expected that the KKR team will secure their 3rd title in the Indian Premier League, on the back of a fine combinations and balance in their squad, comprising of quality youngsters like Venkatesh Iyer, Shubman Gill, Varun Chakravarthy, and Shivam Mavi.
Gaikwad has been in some excellent form and he can drive his team to one more title. He has scored runs in almost every game, and is just some runs short of the orange, which he very well deserves to be crowned. He is a player, CSK will be highly dependable on, to win the game.
Iyer has had a time of life in the field in this second half, and will cherish it all. He has performed excellently well in his debut season, and will hope to do the same in this final game, and take his team home. He has a lot of work to do at the top of the order, and give KKR a flying start.
The top order batsman has been a fine performer for the past few years in the Indian Premier League. In this season, he was a backbone of the team in the middle order and finished well in the last few overs. Nitish is expected to be a match winner for KKR in the finals.
Moeen has been consistently contributing in the white ball cricket for England as well as CSK team. Although he did not perform quite well in the Phase 2, but has the necessary experience and abilities to come back in a fine fashion and contribute in both departments.
