WI vs ENG: England Playing 11 Announced for 2nd Test. Check Details


WI vs ENG: In a breaking news, the visiting England team have announced their playing 11 for the 2nd Test against West Indies scheduled to start from 16 March at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. After some fabulous performances from the likes of Jonny Bairstow, Zak Crawley and skipper Joe Root who scored sensational centuries each, England managed to claim a draw in the opening Test against the Windies team. This will the second game in the three-match Test series.

The Joe Root-led England side have made just a single in their playing 11 from the previous Test in Antigua. The visitors have left out Mark Wood who sustained a right elbow injury on the final day of the first Test match against West Indies. For the English team, right-arm speedster Saqib Mahmood will be making his Test debut against the Windies side on Wednesday.

In his first-class career so far, Mahmood has picked up a total of 70 wickets from 25 matches at an average of 27.92 that includes 3 four-wicket hauls and one 5-wicket haul. This will be a huge moment for the 25-year-old fast bowler who made his international debut in November 2019.

West Indies vs England 2nd Test

It will be interesting to see whether the hosts West Indies decide to make any changes to their playing XI from the first Test against England or not.
