Saha to travel to England: Indian wicket keeping batsman Wriddhiman Saha was tested positive for COVID 19 during the first half of the IPL 2021. However, recently, Saha has now been tested negative, and is eligible to travel to the United Kingdom for the packed schedule ahead. The Sunrisers Hyderabad man will be heading to Mumbai to join his teammates soon.

Saha, along with other players such as Amith Mishra, Varun Chakravarty and Sandeep Warrier were also tested positive for COVID 19, which led to the BCCI suspending the league until further notice.

Wridhiman Saha  back in the squad

Wridhiman Saha is a part of the 20 man squad in the Indian team as they square off to New Zealand in The ICC World Test Championship Final. It will be followed up with a five match Test series against hosts England. Nevertheless, Saha is still in quarantine following the protocols, but is feeling better than before.

A source close to the player mentioned that Saha is in a hotel in Delhi and is in quarantine as of now.

“Wriddhiman is back home yesterday after two and half weeks of hotel quarantine in Delhi.”

Wriddihiman Saha will have to make sure to return another negative RT PCR Test before entering the bio bubble in Mumbai.

Although it’s Rishabh Pant who has been the preferred keeper batsman for India in recent times, Wriddhiman Saha is still regarded as one of the finest wicket keepers in India, and is the perfect back up option.

The Indian cricket team departs for England on June 2, with their big game against New Zealand to be contested at the Rose Bowl Stadium, from June 18th to 22nd. The five match Test series versus England begins on August 4 and as per schedule is to end by September 14.
