Allan Robert Donald famously known as Pugsley, Captain Grumpy and Allan was born on 27th July 1955 at Cremone, Australia and was the first Australian captain to taste the World Cup glory in 1987. He his still regarded as one of the most succesful captains Australia has ever produced because he lead the Australian team at the time when world cricket was totally dominated by Windies. He started off playing cricket as a kid in his backyard and went onto represent Australia for a brief period of 16 years and accumulated 11,174 runs in 156 Tests at an average of 50.56 and 6,524 runs in 273 ODIs at an average 30.62. He is also the first ever Australian batsmen to cross the 10,000 run mark in Test matches.
