The last 2 years have been terrific for the wicket keeper batsman. He catched the attention of national selectors, where he hit 585 runs in Sheffield Shield 2020/21 and impressive performances in Big Bash League and T20 Blast as well. With these performances, he was named in Australia T20 World Cup 2021 squad. But he ultimately was handed his first T20I game in February 2022.
Josh has been impressive across all the 3 formats with 30+ averages. In First Class Cricket, he has scored 2252 runs, with 3 tons, and has hit 711 runs in List A. In 71 T20 matches, Inglis has accumulated 1782 runs with 2 centuries. The 2020/21 season was certainly a breakthrough year for Inglis, where he was the leading run scorer in T20 Blast with 531 runs and smashed 413 runs in 17 matches of Big Bash 2020/21. In Big Bash 2021/22 semi finals, he hit a century to help Perth Scorchers to reach the finals.
Josh has been playing quite well in the Big Bash League for the Perth Scorchers in the past 2 seasons. He helped the team to be the runner up in 2020/21 and was a key member of the winning team in 2021/22. Josh was unsold in the IPL 2021 Auction, but he is expected to get decent bids in the 2022 Auction, where the team might target flexible wicket keeper batsman.
Josh Inglis has been dating Megan Kincart for quite some time, and regular posts pictures with her on Instagram. Although, they are not married as of now.
