Ryan Rickelton is a wicket keeper batsman born on 11 July 1996 in Johannesburg. His father has been a sports Director at a college in Johannesburg. He was part of 23 players for U-19 World Cup 2015/16, but could not make it to the final 15. But, he soon made his debut in the first class, List A and T20 format in the year between 2016 and 2017.

Ryan was the leading run scorer for his team, Guateng in the List A and red ball format in 2017/18 season. In January 2021, he was named in the South Africa T20I squad to face Pakistan, but has not yet made his international debut. In May 2021, he emerged as the highest runs scorer for South Africa A in the series against Zimbabwe A, with 224 runs.
